Khaidi (English: Prisoner) is a 1983 Telugu film, which was the first major hit movie for Chiranjeevi directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. Madhavi was the heroine. It became a major blockbuster and a turning point in Chiranjeevi's career winning unlimited fan following. It was remade into Kannada with Vishnuvardan with the same name. The film is loosely based on the 1982 film First Blood.
Khaidi is a 1984 Indian Kannada film, directed by K. S. R. Das and produced by G. R. K. Raju. The film stars Vishnuvardhan, Aarathi, Madhavi and Jayamalini in lead roles. The film had musical score by K. Chakravarthy. The film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster of the same name which itself was loosely inspired by the 1982 movie First Blood.
